PAINTED FURNITURE BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS ACRYLICS ON CANVAS MURALS
|
Although my primary medium is watercolor on paper, I occasionally venture into other media. I love to paint on furniture and have donated hand painted pieces to the Mass. Coalition for the Homeless "Furnish the Future" auction and most recently The Make A Wish Foundation's auction of Boston theme Adirondack Chairs, which raised nearly $10,000 in 2005. My Fenway Park chair was the "hit of the show". |

In 2004 I had the pleasure of illustrating my first children's book, "Royal Koi & Kindred Spirits" by author Richard Wainwright. It was a huge undertaking, but very rewarding and fun. In the process, I made friends in Japan, flew to Florida to photograph Koi, and was invited to attend a dress rehearsal of Swan Lake by the Boston Ballet. Richard Wainwright's 11th book is a sensitive story for all ages, about a young girl who moves to this country from Japan, and learns a lesson about suffering and human kindness. Copies of the book may be purchased at www.rmwainwrightbooks.com |

In the late 1980s and early 1990s I was in a gallery in Soho, in New York City. At the time I was painting large acrylic canvasses, focusing on neon signs and pre 1950s roadside architecture. I have since given up the medium, but a few of these acrylics are still available for sale. You can contact me for pricing information. |

Over the years I've been commissioned to do numerous murals in town halls, libraries and private homes. Rockland town offices in Rockland, MA. boasts two murals, one of historic Victorian Union St. and one of the Centennial parade from the turn of the 20th century. |
